Was a member of the ELCA in St Louis that was completely doctrinal. The pastor left and was replaced by an interim gay pastor. He adorned himself with the pastoral clothing that would have made a priest proud. Behind the scenes he was working to replace staff and promote others who shared this lost un Christian worldview, while all the time denying it.

Seven years later, you have this. The sad part is that some of the elderly still go and actively participate. They have their friends there and their gay children and grandchildren can go there, as if they can’t go to a real church. Sin is accepted and applauded.

The last time I was there they had a Washington University Doctor, who has made the news leading Gender Reassignment, talking to the congregation about the normality of gender fluidity. That was the beginning of this cult. It is nothing but evil dressed in a fabulous robe.

Beyond the doctrinal horrors of this 'creed' is another dimension: the martyrs. They gave their lives for a creed that is now being thrown out. Their blood is the seed of the church, and their sacrifices are being silenced by ideological idolatry. Lord, have mercy on us!

May God deliver His saints from this heresy. The ELCA church I belonged to for several years (I currently belong to a confessional, liturgical and traditional LCMS congregation) now has pastors who march in the Pride Parade (Columbus OH) while bragging about being LGBTQ "allies." If they were truly "allies" of sinners they would preach the Word and call out the abomination of ALL our sins and proclaim the Good News that Jesus bled and died to save us FROM our sins. But sadly, this abomination of gay-affirming "pastors" rates on. Come back soon, Lord Jesus!

Thanks for your measured, reasonable response keeping us focused on the essentials. I hope and pray for the repentance of the ELCA and for those who are conned into believing this is somehow more Christ-like. I came from an ELCA church background in a fairly conservative church (for the ELCA) and it just painful to see stuff like this. It's also angering to see our beautiful Creeds and our wonderful Savior mocked so openly. But it does make me love the Creeds even more.

There was a sermon held by Chatgpt in Fuerth. Sorry the video is in German.

How can a sole-less IA tool replace a pastor? Isn’t a child of God supposed to be preaching?

Thank you Pastor Wolfmueller for putting into words what sometimes we struggle to explain. Great stuff!

Pastor Wolfmueller, may I give a heads-up concern about an apparent recommendation and/or endorsement of Machen's "classic" title, Christianity and Liberalism; agreed there is much good defense of "orthodoxy" in Machen's books, but also plenty of evidence of his Calvinist background; e.g. In the Salvation chapter in this title, while calling for the need for new birth etc., I find nothing about the Sacrament of Holy Baptism as a Means of Grace which effects the regeneration.
