The open bible in Cranachs painting shows three verses. The first one is from 1. John 1:7 'and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.'
The second verse is from Hebrews 4:16 'Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.'
The last one is from John 3:14 'And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:' with a few words beginning verse 15.
That makes a lot of sense. I was translating it too, but very slowly. Looks like you got to it before me. (I have to say, even though I live in Germany, I am not fluent in German, but I know a lot. Trying hard to learn more. Until then, I'm really quite slow.)
The old spelling and writing does make it more difficult to read, understand and translate. As a native speaker, I do have a slight advantage translating it though. Anyway, keep up the hard work!
