When teaching children about Jacob and Esau- It is great to point out the difference between the "birthright" and the "blessing." The former dealing with an earthly inheritance, and the latter with the spiritual blessing and promise. Esau rejected both and therefore, wanted only to serve his own appetite. It is so important to share this promise with children, and show them how NOT to live for themselves, but for the Seed of all mankind; our Lord and Savior Jesus! God's blessings to all this Advent and Christmas season!!
