Pastor, I think that is the crucifixion of St. Peter.

Kenneth, I noticed this too. And I only knew because Ps. Wolfmueller does the voice of Saint Peter in one of Hans Fiene’s ‘Lutheran Satire’ videos and the same painting is used. 😆

Too bad: they allowed photos when I visited the Sistine Chapel back in the 90s. IIRC, there was still some restoration work going on. The Last Judgment maybe.

Nice information. Is this the guy you were thinking of:

The Pantheon as we know it today was built sometime between 126 and 128 A.D., during the reign of Emperor Hadrian. It was initially built around 25 B.C. by statesman Marcus Agrippa and then completely rebuilt by Hadrian.

If I'm remembering correctly, the dome of the Pantheon is the first of its kind and quite an architectural feat.
