The best theological resource I find consistantly is my Dear Pastor Rev Dr Matt Richard. He faithfully teaches us oldsters correct theology. Every Divine Service he properly applies both Law and Gospel to the text and he administers the Sacraments as a faithful shepherd who also shows much love and compassion to us wandering sheep.

In addition to all of Pastor Wolfmueller’s resources he provides on YouTube and the World Wild Bible Class, my favorite lately is listening to the doxology lectures by John Kleinig found here! https://www.johnkleinig.com/doxology-lectures/

Yes! I should remind people of these lectures every few months.

Reading the Psalms with Luther. https://www.cph.org/reading-the-psalms-with-luther

If you have a translation that you prefer over the ESV, it might still be worth the purchase for the Schedule of Psalms for the Daily Office in the back. I made a copy of the pages and use it as a bookmark so I don't have to keep going to the back of the book. My life doesn't allow for reading every 3 hours so I combine Vigils/Lauds, Terce/Sext, and None/Vespers/Compline Psalms together. Sadly, not as faithful as I'd like to be with it. The one summer I faithfully read/prayed really taught me to cherish the psalms and helped me tremendously.

Great book. A vacancy Pastor talked about it in his Lenten sermon series a few years ago and I read it.

Tis is not what you requested and it may be too plitical. However since you are in Austin, what do you think about Condodia seperating from LCMS? To the subject, J. P. Koehler's "Our Position On Scripture" in LOGIA and my friend, Robert Kolb's "Luther's Early Sacramental Piety" in the same issue a good second. Hubert Dellinger

The narrow Lutheran middle by Daniel Deutschlander. A good reminder of ditches we can easily fall into when we take our eyes and focus off Christ. & my Pastor, Mark Eckert's Revelation Bible study every other Saturday. Very informative

Any book or speech by Pastor and WELS Seminary Prof Daniel Deutschlander is as close to walking on water that we get. He claimed his heavenly mansion last year.

Luther's Small Catechism with annotations by Edward W.A. Koehler. Originally came out in 1946 and was reprinted in 1981.

I got one recently and love it. It is the only Catechism with annotations worth buying.
