Keri and I are please to announce our 2024 tour of the British Isles, starting May 31 in London. We will travel to Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Scotland, and back to England. Five countries in fifteen days!
We’ve planned a highlight every day.
Stonehenge: Witness the enigmatic and awe-inspiring prehistoric monument, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Cliffs of Moher: Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Cliffs of Moher, towering over the Atlantic Ocean.
Edinburgh Castle: Explore the historic Edinburgh Castle, perched on Castle Rock, with its stunning views of the city.
Ring of Kerry: Enjoy the panoramic drive around the Ring of Kerry, showcasing Ireland's southwestern peninsula's natural beauty.
York Minster: Marvel at the grandeur of York Minster, one of the world's most magnificent cathedrals.
Cambridge: Immerse yourself in the historic and academic atmosphere of Cambridge, renowned for its prestigious university and picturesque architecture.
We will have daily devotional services with hymns and meditations, as well as Bible studies throughout the trip. We will dig into the history of the English Reformation, and see the little inroads the Lutheran church has made. We’ll worship with the Lutherans in England, and meet a few Irish Lutherans who are hoping and praying for the Lutheran church to come to their country.
We will see some amazing places, make life-ling friends, and rejoice in the Lord’s gifts as we travel together.
St. Andrews University, where Lutheran martyr Patrick Hamilton was burned at the stake (using green wood; he took six hours to die) would certainly be an appropriate place to visit. Unfortunately, his feast day is February 29!
