1/ Genesis 35:29
This will be part of our study in the Wolrdwide Bible Class in a few minutes. Join us live if you can. (Click here for more on the sweet names of death.)
2/ Welcome to Lent
The Old Lutherans had the tradition of the Confessional Mirror, which is really the Ten Commandments with diagnostic questions. It’s a repentance check-up, and is useful all the time, especially before the Lord’s Supper, and super-especially on Ash Wednesday.
Here’s more: https://wolfmueller.co/confessional-mirror/ with links to download two of my favorite documents.
The quick, one-question-per-commandment version is:
What am I afraid of?
How are my prayers?
What is my attitude toward worship?
What is my attitude toward authority?
Am I angry?
Am I chaste?
Am I generous?
Am I bitter?
& 10. Am I happy? Am I content?
3/ On Race and Races
A few months back I was asked by “Linneaus”to be part of a debate on race. I agreed, and the opening arguments were published this weekend. You can read them here: https://wolfmueller.co/racedebate/
Responses will be posted at the end of this month.

Another insight, on Lament:
