The Life of Jacob with Martin Luther
Join us for the next chapter in the worldwide Bible class, starting tomorrow.
Tomorrow (Wednesday, 3 November 2021) the Worldwide Bible Class will begin a new chapter:
“The Life of Jacob with Martin Luther”
We will look at Genesis 25-36, and use Luther’s commentary as our guide.
I’m not sure how it will work, but I’m really excited to experiment with you. One of my great frustrations as a pastor and teacher is that the wisdom and insights of Luther are looked away in large collections, and mostly used by scholars. This is a little attempt to unlock some of that wisdom for you and the world.
You can join us live via zoom at 10 am central time.
Here is the Zoom link: https://zoom.us/j/380267421
And you can always find the most up-to-date information at www.wolfmueller.co/bible
What you will need:
Nothing at all! (Well, you need a way to connect to Zoom. But that’s it. I’ll have the Scriptures and Luther’s commentary on the screen.)
If you would like more…
I’ve been trying to sort out a deal for you all. Here are two options:
You would like to purchase the volumes of Luther’s Works that we will use, CPH has offered 20% off for the Worldwide Bible Class with the promo code GENESIS.
(BUT, maybe just get the first one, and we’ll see how this whole thing goes.)
I use Logos Bible software for teaching and study.
You can get a free version of the software, which is nice to try.
Once you start adding resources it gets expensive fast. But, you can get the electronic version of Luther’s Works (all 55 volumes) for about $259. (Unfortunately, it’s not possible to purchase one volume at a time.)
I called these guys to try to get you a deal. Zach Barnett told me he could help you guys get the best price. Mention my name if you call him.
(360) 746-3139
Again, you don’t need any of these resources. We’ll provide everything in the study.
All the studies will be archived on the YouTube channel. (But’s it’s better to be there live.)
I hope you can make it. And if you would, please pass the word around.
Psalm 119:12 “Blessed are You, O LORD! Teach me Your statutes.”
Lord’s Blessings,
Pastor Bryan Wolfmueller
