1/ Broken or Crushed (Luke 20:18)
“Everyone who falls on that stone will be broken to pieces, and when it falls on anyone, it will crush him.”
(I’m goofing around with YouTube Shorts, and made one about the riddle of this verse here.)
2/ Tempting vs Testing
3/ Lutheran Satire: Is This Christian Nationalism?
We’re in quite a pickle.
4/ The Conservative Reformer: Theology, Philosophy, Culture
Here’s a great looking project from Jordan Cooper.
5/ On the Ascension
The importance of the Ascension, which we reflect on especially this week.
6/ Rome vs Wittenberg
I pulled up my old notes looking at the differences between Rome and Wittenberg on the Lord’s Supper. You can find those notes here.
This was getting ready for this fun conversation:
Coming Up this Summer:

Join me for the 2024 @IssuesEtc “Making the Case” Conference Fri., July 12 and Sat., July 13 at @CUChicago. For more information: https://issuesetc.org/2024conference/.
The Digital Catacombs, July 24-26, 2024, Austin, TX
Please join us for the 4th annual Digital Catacombs Conference this July 24th-26th at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas. Over the past few years this conference has brought together some of the best speakers on Christian freedom, faithfulness in times of persecution, and digital security. Our goal is to help pastors, churches, families, and schools navigate through the myriad of issues that are facing us, from maintaining our privacy online, to using the best technology available to spread the gospel in oppressive societies. This year we will be hearing from Bryan Wolfmueller on how best to put social media platforms to use for spreading the Gospel, Andrew Packer on the intersection between pastoral care and technology, and Brent Clingerman on how technologies like Artificial Intelligence are impacting beginning and ending of life issues. If you have not been to one of our conferences before, you will be delighted by both the practicality of the lectures and the encouragement you will gain from being around like minded Christians interested in confessional integrity, Christian freedom, and a zeal to spread the saving Gospel.
You can also send out the registration link. Tell them that you wouldn't miss it or something too. https://digitalcatacombs.regfox.com/-digital-catacombs-2024
