2/ Not Afraid of Dying
…a poem by Frank Knight.
I Am Not Afraid Of Dying
I am not afraid of dying, my soul’s certified secure
My past will never haunt me, and my future’s been ensured.
I have peace beside my Savior – all my sins he did forgive!
I live knowing that I’m dying, when I die, I know I’ll live!
Oh that blessed resurrection, what a grand and glorious day!
When we all shall rise and greet Him, and sin’s stain is washed away!
What a sight as all the nations will rejoice with one accord,
And sin’s curse has finally ended; Eden’s Earth has been restored.
I shall never fear the devil, let him throw the worst at me
I am safe, he cannot harm me inside Christ’s security.
Though there’s trials and temptations, and each day seems full of strife
It just points me toward my Savior, our redeemed eternal life!
No, I’m not afraid of dying, my soul’s certified secure
My past will never haunt me, and my future’s been ensured.
I have peace beside my Savior – all my sins he did forgive!
I live knowing that I’m dying, when I die, I know I’ll live!
God be praised!
