Andrew Steinman has given a gift to the church in all the research put into this text.
(And it no longer costs $7,000, or whatever the price used to be.)
Here’s the chart for the life of Jacob.
I’ve calculated the age in the left-hand column. It’s amazing to think that Jacob was 76 (or 77) when he had the dream of the ladder, 83 when he is first married, 96 when he wrestles with Jesus, and meets Esau on his return to Cannan, and 135 when he moves to Egypt.
I bought this book earlier this year and have read it through and used it as a resource several times since I bought it. Our pastor is taking our ladies' Bible study through "How to Read the Bible with Understanding" (by Lane A. Burgland) in the new year and I expect I'll get the opportunity to use it several more times. I think it's going to be dogeared in the days to come.
